Fire alarm systems are integral to the safety of your employees and to your premises and when connected, monitors your building 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Fire alarm panel testing is crucial in maintaining the correct operation of the fire alarm system and evidence in the form of a log book may be requested by your insurance company or worksafe in the event of an emergency situation.

Our fire alarm panel testing is carried out in accordance with AS1851:2012 section 6 and is scheduled as 11 monthly (functional) tests and 1 annual (detector, sounder, occupant warning etc) test. The required testing is defined in AS1851:2012 - Our annual testing of the fire system goes beyond the requirements of AS1851 and carries out as close to a 100% test of the detectors as is possible. This eliminates the possibility of detectors constantly being missed, when only a sample are tested.

Our technicians will perform the following services as part of the fire alarm system test:-

  • Perform tests as required by AS1851
  • Update fire alarm panel log book (kept on site - Usually in or next to Fire Panel)
  • Report and identify any failures and corrective actions required including a quotation for repair.
